Eligibility Criteria for Goa Police Recruitment 2026
Educational Qualification
- Qualifications range from Secondary School Certificate (SSC) to Bachelor’s Degree in Science, depending on the post.
- Some technical posts require an ITI certificate and experience.
- Knowledge of Konkani is compulsory for all posts. Knowledge of Marathi is desirable.
Age Limit
- Age limit varies from 25 to 45 years, depending on the post.
- Age relaxation is available for SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwD (10 years), ex-servicemen, home guards, and others as per government rules.
Physical Standards

Selection Procedure
The selection process includes:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT) – There will be CBT-I and CBT-II for some posts.
- Physical Endurance Test (PET) – Qualifying in nature for applicable posts.
- Merit List – Final selection will be based on marks in CBT-II.
There is no negative marking in CBT. Minimum passing marks are 45% for UR, 40% for OBC, and 35% for SC/ST candidates.
