Features of the Scheme
This scheme is basically designed for students from underprivileged and economically poor backgrounds. Undergraduate/postgraduate students can register for the scheme. Under this scheme, eligible students will receive assistance of Rs. 20,000/- per year. When any student benefits from another scholarship, they are also eligible for this scheme. The financial assistance will be credited to students’ bank accounts. This scholarship increases the chances of success in their respective career fields.
Who is Eligible
To be eligible for this scheme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
The applicant must be a permanent citizen of Odisha state. The applicant enrolled in an undergraduate/postgraduate program in a recognized college/university in Odisha. Family’s income should be less than Rs. 10,000/- per month. The applicant should belong to one of the following categories-
A family affected by HIV/AIDS. Household without shelter. Destitute/living on alms. Manual scavenger families. The family belongs to particularly vulnerable tribal groups. Single mother family. Legally released bonded labourers.

To apply this scheme, applicants must follow these simple steps:

After that, select Gopabandhu Sikhya Sahayata Yojana from the dropdown menu. Then, fill in the application form and upload all required documents. Click ” Submit”.
Eligible Courses
In this scheme, eligible courses mainly include:
Undergraduate Courses: Bachelor’s degree in multiple fields of education, including Engineering, Arts, Commerce, Science, etc.
Postgraduate Courses: Students enrolled in all master’s degrees in their respective fields, such as M.Sc, M.Tech, M.A, M.Com, MBA, etc.
Professional Courses: In these course students can include courses like Nursing, Law, and other training skills.
