IRCTC Recruitment 2026: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), West Zone, has released a notification for the engagement of hospitality monitors on a contractual basis. IRCTC Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have any one of the following qualifications:
- Full-time B.Sc. in hospitality and hotel administration from a recognised institute affiliated with NCHMCT/UGC/AICTE/Government of India.
- BBA/MBA (Culinary Arts) from the Indian Culinary Institute under the Ministry of Tourism.
- B.Sc. in Hotel Management and Catering Science from a recognised university.
- An MBA in Tourism and Hotel Management from a recognised university is also required.
Freshers with the required qualification are eligible to apply.
Age Limit (as on 21.01.2026):
- Maximum 27 years for the General category.
- Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PwBD, and as per rules for ex-servicemen.
Selection Procedure for IRCTC Recruitment 2026
Selection will be done through a walk-in interview. Candidates must bring a filled application form along with original documents, self-attested copies, and two passport-size photographs.
Final selection will be based on educational qualifications and performance in the personal interview. A merit list will be prepared, and a reserve panel will also be created. Selected candidates must submit a security deposit of Rs. 25,000 through a demand draft.
Medical fitness is mandatory before final engagement. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
Salary and Allowances
Apart from the monthly CTC of Rs. 30,000, selected candidates will receive:
- Daily Allowance: Rs. 350 per day (as per duty hours in train)
- Lodging Charges: Rs. 240 for outstation night stay
- National Holiday Allowance (if applicable)
- Medical insurance reimbursement as per policy
