Saksham Jharkhand Kaushal Vikas Yojana: Details of the Scheme

Saksham Jharkhand Kaushal Vikas Yojana: SJKVY aims to provide quality skill training to young people aged 18-35, and it is being implemented across the state of Jharkhand. It is a residential training program. The training programmes are linked with the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) and are responsive to industry requirements. The payment terms and schedule are governed by the general rules notified by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) on 15th July 2015 and subsequently amended as published.

The project aims to assist 70% of successful trainees in employment through placement-linked and self-employment training in various trades/courses approved by different Sector Skill Councils (SSCs). We have received work orders for approximately 6,000 students over 3 years. To date, we have trained over 2,000 students and placed more than 1,500 students in the automobile, apparel, tourism & hospitality, and retail sectors.

1. Providing vocational training to unemployed young men and women, enabling them to acquire industry-relevant skills.

4. Supporting students who are particularly capable of receiving technical education.

Eligibility Criteria for Saksham Jharkhand Kaushal Vikas Yojana

The authorities have set some eligibility criteria for the ‘Jharkhand Capable Strategy Development Scheme’, which beneficiaries must meet:

• The applicant must be a resident of Jharkhand.
• Beneficiaries must be between 18 and 35 years of age.
• The maximum age for SC/ST/OBC applicants is 50 years.
• Beneficiaries must have completed at least the 5th grade.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Saksham Kaushal Vikas Yojana applicants must present the following documents while submitting their application:

• Aadhaar card.
• Proof of address.
• Proof of age.
• Recent passport-size photograph.
• Bank documents.
• Caste certificate.
• Educational qualification documents.

How to Apply Saksham Jharkhand Kaushal Vikas Yojana Online:

• Eligible applicants can apply through the online registration of the Jharkhand Skilled Development Scheme.
• To register online for the Jharkhand Skilled Development Scheme, beneficiaries must visit the Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society’s website. jsdm.jharkhand.gov.in
• On the homepage, select the ‘Registration’ tab from its dropdown and then click on the ‘Candidate Registration’ link. Applicants must first create their profile, where they need to provide their details.
• Submit these details and log in to jsdm.jharkhand.gov.in with the generated ‘Username’ and ‘Password’ (the portal will verify your details through OTP verification).
• Then, select the registration link from the user dashboard.
• The applicant’s profile details can be viewed and edited at this stage.
• Thereafter, the user must submit their personal details. Contact information. Academic details.
• After submitting these details, tap the submit tab, and your registration ID will be generated.

Benefits of the Saksham Jharkhand Kaushal Vikas Yojana

• Free skill development training.
• Employment allowance for those who do not get a job within three months of completing the training.
• The monthly employment allowance is 1,000/- for boys and 1,500/- for girls/persons with disabilities/transgender individuals.
• Transportation allowance for those whose training centre is non-residential.
• All trainees will be provided with uniforms, handbooks, and other necessary materials free of charge.
